The book examines movements such as Creationism (typified by the Chilean poet Vicente Huidobro), Ultraism (exemplified by Jorge Luis Borges), Stridentism (of which the poetry of Manuel Maples Arce was a notable representation), Cuban “Negrism,” and Nothing-ism.
